About this Event

Come out this Halloween Season as you are led on a Historic Paranormal Investigation by the Southern Ghost Girls Tours. The Southern Ghost Girls are famous in the state for their talents in all things paranormal. You will get a history overview of the building and area then you’ll get to participate in the Investigation using real paranormal investigation equipment like you have seen on tv. This is the First Tour of this kind in Athens open to the public. Athens is the 2nd oldest town in Alabama. The courthouse square and most of the town was burned by the Union during the Civil War. The McConnell Funeral Home building which is now Boneyard Antiques was completed in 1915 and used as a funeral home till mid 1950’s. There has been significant activity in the building witnessed by the owners, vendors, and even customers. Most of the activity centers around the rear of the building which is where the cooler for the bodies is located. Some of the activities include lights working and flickering at command when there was no power, things moving and falling including light fixtures. Many have complained of heaviness and darkness in the back room as well. Some of the activity can be seen in videos on our facebook page. Check this out and try something new if you’ve always wanted to do something like this.
